The Finnish Institute in London has increased its focus and activities in the field of film and film festivals 2015-2016. Birkbeck Institute and ICA (Institute of Contemporary Art) launched a new Essay Film Festival 2015 showcasing the late Peter von Bagh’s work. 2016 the Institute supported Edinburgh International Film Festival and their Focus on Finland showcase that presented new Finnish film and documentary. The Institute has also supported the Open City Docs Fest and Nordic Film Festival in London and the Flatpack Film Festival in Birmingham 2015.
