OUR PARTNERS
We always work in collaboration with people and organisations active in the same pursuits as we are. We work with artists, researchers, experts and policy makers in the United Kingdom, Finland and the Republic of Ireland to promote strong networks in the fields of culture and society. Our partners share our ideals and enthusiasm and whether the conversations are private or public, they are based on the belief that art, culture and public debate enrich lives.
We collaborate closely with the Finnish Embassy in London and the Finnish Embassy in Dublin. The Institute is a part of Team Finland also a member of EUNIC London, the network of the cultural institutes from the member states of the European Union in London. We also work in active collaboration with the Finnish Cultural Information Centres. The Finnish Institute is also part of a cluster of 17 Finnish Cultural and Academic Institutes.

PARTNER QUOTES
We are delighted to be working on this Viewpoint project with the Finnish Institute and the London Wildlife Trust, creating a permanent contribution to the landscape of Camley Street Natural Park.
Sarah Ichioka, Director of the Architecture Foundation.
The experience of being in Helsinki, of meeting different designers, practitioners and thinkers form Finland, and of exchanging ideas and approaches with them, has allowed me to appreciate London and my experiences of working here from a critical distance and in a new light. Travel, and engaging directly in different cultures, allows you to learn about yourself and reflect upon the conditions of your own situation.
Johnny Tucker, Editor of Blueprint Magazine
HEL YES! realised its ambition. It changed the way London sees Helsinki – if you were lucky enough to get a table!
Ben Evans, Director of London Design Festival.
The conversation was bubbling away and, like so many conversations that occur at that ungodly hour, the topics covered meandered from architecture, to design, to film, to family, to the price of houses, to the price of beer, to who will buy the next drink, back to architecture, to art, to whether we should all go home…
Owen Pritchard, the series’ co-curator, shares memories from how HEL/LO was born in Helsinki.
"The energy, organisation and enthusiasm which the Finnish Institute brought to the evening event during the exhibition 'Syd Shelton: Rock Against Racism' at Autograph ABP made a significant contribution to the success of the show and brought in a whole new audience. Both myself and the two curators enjoyed very much working with the team from the Finnish Institute."
Syd Shelton, photographer
"The Finnish Institute London represents Finland with all its culture, dynamics, branding and expectations. At the same time is has to avoid being a nationalistic cultural platform and produce relevant, dynamic and some times even disturbing events. The Institute is clearly aware of this and does not shy from challenge and difficult questions."
Umayya Abu-Hanna, cultural broker, writer
