Ceramics By Aila Simpson at Art in Clay

Finnish Ceramist Aila Simpson's rocky and colourful ceramics exhibited at 'Art in Clay' festival of ceramics and pottery in August 2010.
Finnish Ceramist and teacher Aila Simpson will be the only Finn taking part in the 'Art in Clay' National Pottery and Ceramics Festival in Hertfordshire in August 2010. 

Aila's work reflects the colours and textures of the rocky environment of Finland. Much of her work is constructed by the slab technique building with paper clay which is glazed and fired to earthenware temperature.

One of the most important events in the ceramics calendar, the 16ty National Pottery and Ceramics Festival is a weekend offers a full range of work in the ceramic community today.
