Galleria Norsu at COLLECT 2010 Craft Fair

  • Finnish ceramic, wood and jewellery art at the contemporary craft fair 'COLLECT 2010' at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

    Helsinki-based Galleria Norsu is taking part for the fourth time in 'COLLECT', the annual fair for contemporary craft at the Saatchi Gallery in London. 

    At 'COLLECT 2010' the focus lies on ceramic, wood and jewellery art. Galleria Norsu will show new works by sculptor Kim Simonsson and ceramic artist Nathalie Lähdenmäki as well as works by five Finnish jewellery artists; Tarja Tuupanen, Eija Mustonen, Helena Lehtinen (Collect 2007 and 2009), Maria Nuutinen, Mervi Kurvinen and Kati Nulpponen (Collect 2008).

    Wood as a material will be making a comeback this year after a two-year-long pause through the works of the established cabinetmaker Markku Kosonen and the upcoming cabinet maker and designer, Tuulia Penttilä.

    'COLLECT' is the annual international flagship event presented by the British Crafts Council.
