The Future of the Teaching Workforce Seminar: a Finnish Angle on EducationThe Finnish Institute in London invited a Finnish expert, Tiina Nevanpää, to provide a Nordic angle on future challenges in education. Maintaining teaching workforce, future recruitment of teachers, and the future training and development of teaching workforce are main topics of the seminar The Future of the Teaching Workforce: Licences, Recruitment and Development.
Nevanpää, Head of the Teacher Education Department from the University of Jyväskylä, has distinguished herself as an expert in teacher training in Finland and her department works at the forefront of the profession. Finland's consistently excellent results in the PISA programme make it a good example case for resolving challenges in education internationally.
