Ja Ja Ja is an exciting new club night showcasing the best emerging talent from the Nordic countries at central London venue The Lexington. It provides a platform where new ‘export ready' artists across multiple genres are able to showcase their music to key British music industry professionals, media, tastemakers and punters alike. Each night features a specially invited British curator who selects their favourite artists for the night.

"The club started as a pilot project of our joint Nordic programme and has quickly developed to a self-suffient platform. For Finnish acts it is an excellent place to showcase their talent to the key people of British music industry and media. Each of the nights is curated by a local tastemaker, and as the line-up of the February night has been chosen by Simon Raymonde of Bella Union I'm confident that it will turn out to be a great evening", says Tuomo Tähtinen from Finnish Music Export, Musex.

The three artists selected by English Musician, Producer and MD of the record label Bella Union, Simon Raymonde are the experimental Finnish-American artist VUK, Norwegian progressive rock trio Ungdomskulen and eccentric Danish instrumental band The Good The Bad. In recent years artists such as Le Corpse Mince de Francoise (Finland), Fever Ray (Sweden), Trentemøller (Denmark), Datarock (Norway) and Sigur rós (Iceland) have all contributed to the international recognition and acclaim of the innovative Nordic music scene.

"I was just looking for a good mix - a balance of music rather than one thread. I took a long time listening to everything on the radar but the three I chose I felt would make an exceptional night of live music. It will be exciting, and uplifting and something I am really looking forward to", says Raymonde.

Ja Ja Ja is an initiative supported by Music Export Finland (Musex).
