Jussi Nissilä takes over as the Institute’s Society Programme Director


The Finnish Institute in London welcomes Jussi Nissilä as its new Society Programme Director on 1st December 2010. Nissilä is an expert in research, education and development projects and he has almost ten years of experience in academic and applied research, higher education, project management and international development projects in Kenya, Vietnam and Russia. He has worked in various positions for the Turku School of Economics and the University of Turku, as management consultant, and as an advisor for international organisations. Nissilä is currently finalising his doctoral dissertation for the University of Turku on the use of ICT and entrepreneurship in development cooperation.

"My interests are related to the active role of the university in society, innovations, of entrepreneurship, socioeconomic development and utilisation of ICT in society. I believe we can achieve great things in all these areas at the Institute", Nissilä says.
