Apply Now for the Curatorial Residency in Dublin’s TBG&S for September 2011
The Finnish Institute in London, Temple Bar Gallery & Studios (TBG&S) and HIAP (Helsinki International Artist-in-Residence Programme) are delighted to announce the second year of a curatorial residency in Dublin for September 2011.
The organisers are seeking applications from active, contemporary visual art curators living and working in Finland. The successful curator will work in one of the project studios in Dublin’s leading contemporary visual arts space. During the month-long residency, a key focus will be in researching and developing a proposal for the gallery’s curatorial panel. Ideally, the exhibition or project would place itself in an international context and make connections between contemporary visual culture in Finland and Ireland.
The curator will be facilitated by directorial and curatorial staff at TBG&S to network with visual arts professionals in Dublin. The first curatorial residency last year organised in collaboration with TBG&S and HIAP was very successful for both parties. The curatorial residencies are an outcome of a residency collaboration started in 2007.
The deadline for the residency applications is 14th February 2011.
In collaboration with The Finnish Institute in London and FRAME.
