Following the 2010 talk series at HEL YES! and Helsinki Design Week, design think tank OK Do has now published the first OK Talk book, edited by OK Do and designed by Åh.

OK Talk is a platform for bringing people together to discuss and develop the societal role and practices of the creative field. The talks are organised by OK Do, a socially minded design think tank based in Helsinki.

The OK Talk: Helsinki/London events focused on three topics: Making Places took a fresh view on spatial practice studying both existing and imaginary places. Strategies of Participation explored the design of encounters, interactions and collaborations whereas Borderlands crossed boundaries between design, art and other fields with an emphasis on collaborative practices.

In addition to documenting a best of selection of the talks, the publication widens the discourse, offering new perspectives to the discussed topics through essays, interviews and visual material. The book includes contributions by Åbäke, Bryan Boyer, Martti Kalliala, Zak Kyes, Markus Miessen, Karen Mirza, Teemu Suviala and Finn Williams.
