Celebrating 20 Years of Encounters

The Finnish Institute in London celebrates its 20th anniversary on the 1st of December 2011 by launching a new publication series called Reaktio.

Over the past two decades the Finnish Institute in London has created encounters and unexpected collaborations with artists, researchers, experts and policy makers in the United Kingdom, Finland and the Republic of Ireland. The Institute has not only been a facilitator of new networks and partnerships, but also produced a number of successful events, such as the design exhibition and pop-up restaurant HEL YES! in 2010 and REDDRESS in 2011.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Finnish Institute in London is launching a publication series called Reaktio. The books focus on critical contemporary issues, they pose questions and offer commentary. The books encourage debate and provoke action; they are books to think with and books to act on. The first book in the series, Encounters, is the 20th anniversary publication of the Finnish Institute in London.
