First Open Knowledge Finland Meet-up Was A Success

  • okf_meet-up2011

The inaugural Open Knowledge Finland meet-up attracted a large number of Finnish open knowledge stakeholders that surpassed all of the organisers' expectations.

The Finnish Institute in London took part in organising the meet-up in Helsinki, which was held at the Aalto University School of Economics on the 30th of November 2011. The event attracted almost 80 participants from different sectors of the Finnish open knowledge community.

The main purpose of the meet-up was to gather the Finnish open knowledge community around one table to discuss and to facilitate the start of new projects. Both of the initial objectives were met and the meet-up helped to gain momentum for the activities of the Open Knowledge Finland movement.
