HEL YES! Hits Stockholm Design Week
Image: Johanna LaitanenFrom London to Helsinki and now Stockholm - HEL YES! is on the move again. The culinary cultural event pops up during Stockholm Design Week, 7-11 February 2012.
HEL YES!, the temporary restaurant and exhibition, commissioned and produced by the Finnish Institute in London for the 2010 London Design Festival, has had longevity. From London the concept has travelled to Helsinki and now food visionary Antto Melasniemi, artist Klaus Haapaniemi and designer Mia Wallenius bring their diverse skills to yet a new location: Stockholm, Sweden.
In Stocholm, HEL YES! will take the form of an experimental social gathering that combines gastronomy, design and dance. The cultural culinary evening will feature guest choreographer Kenneth Kvarnström and Helsinki Dance Company with artist Maria Duncker and her extraordinary Bone Orchestra. "There's no distinction between the dancers and the waiters. We're trying to create a logical entirety with the audience being a part of it - more of an event than a performance," Antto Melasniemi explains.
