All the Speakers Announced For November's Iconic Houses Symposium

  • The Finnish Institute in London and The Iconic Houses Network are proud to announce the first European Iconic Houses Symposium will be held at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London 12 November 2013. The Symposium focuses on the future of architecturally significant 20th century house museums all around the world – and how to communicate their importance to the public.

The day starts with four cases: Melnikov House, Villa Tugendhat, Schindler House and Fallingwater. The topics explored include, how to build audiences? How to make sure that iconic houses, as an extremely valuable part of our built heritage, will be professionally cared for and passed on intact to future generations?

The Symposium is supported by Goethe Institut, Skandium, the National Trust's London Project and the V&A Museum.
