The second Nordic Film Festival is going to take place across various venues in London from 25 November to 4 December 2013.
The festival programme includes a total o0f 15 Nordic films, with two UK premiere screenings from Finnish filmmakers: acclaimed documentary My Stuff _(2013) by Petri Luukkainen and a musical documentary _Finnish Blood, Swedish Heart (2012) by Mika Ronkainen. On 30 November the festival presents a London premiere screening Concrete Night by Pirjo Honkasalo.
The Nordic Film Festival is set to deliver a broad mix of genres, showcasing a dynamic programme: family and youth dramas, crime thrillers, documentaries, animation, experimental film and shorts, while key themes centre on youth, memories, ‘experiment’, and music celebrating some of the freshest filmmaking talent from the North.
In December the festival continues to Edinburgh Filmhouse (6-11 December 2013) and Glasgow Film Theatre (8 December 2013 January 2014), with further venues to be announced.
The second Nordic Film Festival is supported by Day for Night and Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
