OPEN GLAM

The Finnish Institute is continuously looking for interesting initiatives that promote fair dispersion of knowledge in the society and tries to find novel solutions to preserving our digital cultural heritage. We have started to work closely with the international open GLAM -movement (galleries, libraries, archives and museums) and support the creative use of digital cultural data. We recognise the immense value of cultural data that may still lie behind barriers of accessibility and understandability and work to raise awareness on the importance of public domain.
