Ola Kolehmainen has been photographing buildings for more than two decades and uses architecture as a starting point and source of inspiration. His work is an examination of space, light and colour, which reflect and question our way of looking at things.
In the course of time the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto took a very important role in Kolehmainen’s work as he gradually began accepting the presence of the key figures of modern and contemporary architecture.
Ola Kolehmainen’s impressive architectural photography and Alvar Aalto’s timeless design are celebrated at PM Gallery & House 4 July – 24 August.
