MOBIUS is a three-year fellowship programme for visual arts, museum and archives professionals based in New York, United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and Finland, organised by the Finnish Institute in London and the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York. The programme, which is now on its second year, enables mobility and collaborative practices, and supports long-lasting professional relationships. The programme’s first round was a great success in creating new networks, sharing knowledge, and gaining international experience.
The Finnish Institute in London has now chosen the new fellows to take part in the mobility between Ireland, United Kingdom and Finland in 2015. They are Inga Fraser (Assistant Curator, Modern British Art; Tate), Hanna Hagmark-Cooper (Director; Åland Maritime Museum), Elisa Heikkilä (Senior researcher, architectural conservation; National Board of Antiquities), Tom Jeffreys (Freelance writer, editor, curator), Sari Mäenpää (Keeper; The Maritime Museum of Finland), Siukku Nurminen (Chief Conservator; Kiasma), Alex Rinsler (Freelance Artist, Producer), and Minna Rajaniemi (Conservator of Paintings; Tampere Art Museum).
The key results will be shared during the programme at m0bius.net and in a publication which will be compiled after the programme.
MOBIUS is generously supported by the Kone Foundation, the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland, and the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.
