DANCE

The Institute supports Finnish dance in the UK market by creating opportunities for international collaboration between Finnish, British and Irish dance professionals through communication and networking.

In the past few years we have worked with some of Finland's top dance professionals and companies such as Tero Saarinen Company, Susanna Leinonen and Simo Kellokumpu. 2012 the Institute participated in the ICE HOT Nordic Dance Platform introducing the best picks of contemporary Nordic dance to a large international audience of dance professionals in Helsinki.

The project implemented with the Finnish Institute in London was significant in many ways: for Tero it meant the final breakthrough in the UK market and created long-lasting partnerships. In addition to this the project was important for the Finnish dance as a whole since it increased the funding for dance also in Finland.
